Shadows (Series)
DESCRIPTION
We live in a time where, in many regions of our world, women must justify their existence. Yet, it is they who bear the pain, who initiate life, and stand behind every one of us. Everything that each of us can do is based on the foundation laid by women. Women, who today too often stand in the shadows.
The photo series 'Shadows' underscores this. It portrays everyday situations. People climbing a mountain, getting married, having climbed a mountain, working the fields, or engaging in sports. The photos are kept dark but are taken on the bodies of women. The dark photos, the low resolution of the old black-and-white instant films, however, conceal this directly. Only those who take their time will see at a second glance that everything stands on the origin of our life and can only take place there.
AUTHOR
Born in Saarland in 1980, he has been traveling regularly with a camera since he was 9 years old. Initially primarily active in nature photography and astrophotography.
Full-time employed as an IT architect and SAP consultant in the finance and insurance industry.
He has been running an art studio with his wife since 2014 and has also turned to other topics such as cosplay photography.
