How many times will we reinvent ourselves?
Sisyphus, a story of a moment in life.
Hero of the absurd (Albert Camus).
I like the perspective that Camus takes. Instead of focusing on Sisyphus being tormented by the futility of his efforts, he centres on a Sisyphus who accepts what he cannot change and changes what he cannot accept.
And this is where I found myself. This project started with a completely different idea, but one afternoon, while walking by the sea with a friend talking about the project, he mentioned that my photos brought to mind the myth of Sisyphus. I couldn't get this out of my head; I had a vague idea about the myth, but when I researched it I found the connection.
There are moments in life when you have a clear idea, but life turns you around and takes you where you should be, not where you focused on being. Once again, my unconscious mind got involved with this new project and expressed my moment in life. And that's why Sisyphus, and here I am. I hope it's not indifferent to you.
Thanks.
