Portrait nominee

This photograph was inspired by the times in which the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant Disaster did happen (1986). It is my depiction of how a Stalker, person illegally entering the contaminated Zone would look like. My photos depicting the fictional "Stalker" were made to include a post-soviet aesthetic in them, to invoke nostalgic emotions about the past times, and to capture the essence of these times, in which the Soviet regime slowly started to dissipate, but still showed its influence across the culture.
