The series "The Pharmacist" was intended to be an interface between the old profession and modern practice. A centuries-old profession that used to perform treatments as healers with the help of ointments, tinctures and herbal infusions, today we encounter them in sterile white coats behind a counter. A doctor issues a prescription, the pharmacist hands over the medicine in the form of capsules, tablets or juices with instructions on how to take them. Today's sterile and artificial image of the pharmacist goes back to people who were close to nature, who collected and processed the perfect herbs to alleviate pain. I wanted to capture this nature-orientated image and breathe life back into the apothecary. That's why all the plants you see in the pictures are actual medicinal herbs that are still used as such in medicines.
