Go seeing the sea (Series)
DESCRIPTION
I like to call myself as a seaside photographer. Here, the eye can explore the landscape at will: the sky, the sea, the foreshore, the coastline, the beach and its surroundings. In fact, by the sea, we often photograph towards the sea, more rarely towards the land. The coasts of the Channel, from the rocks of Brittany to the beaches of the north, offer a diversity of viewpoints with the constant and ever-changing presence of the sky, the sea and the coast (air, water, land). It is this triptych that forms the common thread running through a long series entitled "Aller voir la mer" ("Going to see the sea"). In this series, some of the photos are taken in long exposure, which consists of stretching time abnormally so that the moving elements in the frame of the photo blend in, bringing a dreamlike, poetic quality to the final result.
AUTHOR
As a non-professional photographer, my favourite themes are linked to my need to see far away and to lose my gaze in distant horizons. I particularly enjoy photographing the seaside, combining the three main elements of water, air and land. My photos are mainly in black and white because they best express my artistic intent. Although people are absent from my photos, the human element is very much present, particularly through the traces it leaves in the landscapes.
