DESCRIPTION
METROPOLIS is my vision of our cities. An environment made of
angles, curves, lines and shadows where we forgot at times that a
human being can get lost within. Nevertheless, he alone shatters these
graphics, since he is the only natural form in this environment; could
this be the reason for his solitude?
Through these photographs I invite you to look at what is not seen, to
listen to what is not said, and to let your imagination go the rest of the
way
AUTHOR
Born in Brussels in 1957, he is self-taught for whom, in parallel with a so-called classic professional life, photography has always been his means of express. It is first travel, the elsewhere that motivates and inspires him. For several years he worked, traveling the world, on a report illustrating the 50s through festivals, or “People well-adapted to their century whose hearts are in another" He made his first exhibition in 2012 and a book "50s' TODAY" appeared in 2015 which was a significant success with the press and the public. In 2020, from an immersion in a hospital during the covid crisis was born a book that will be distributed in more than 7,000 copies. The acquisition of a Leica pushes him to undertake a more personal and artistic work. He gains confidence with the recognition of some of these images by "Leica International fotografie" specialized sites and recognized magazines such as the famous "Photo" and "Photo Response". Encouraged by several awards and publications he developed the series "Metropolis" which is now the essence of his present work.
