The Cuban way (Single)
DESCRIPTION
Cuba is all estimulation for a street photography. This image was taken in Havana, in January 2023, where the light is just endlessly beautiful and the people live the street like I never saw in other countries. This is a very transitted street and lot of action happenning in the front of this bakery.
AUTHOR
Photographer based in Madrid. Initially self-taught, and since 2018 in photo schools, in visual narrative projects and many other courses.
In 2021 she won the first LensCulture street photography award in the single image category for “A la sombrica”, and her project, Mera, is a finalist in the Albarracín seminar. SONYMAGE magazine dedicates a chapter to her in issue 45.
In 2022 she is a finalist in the Open Call Eyeshot and the Italian Street Photo festival; and semi-finalist at Australia's HeadOn festival. She appears published in number 10 of Eyeshot magazine.
In 2023 her work is included in the COVID Archive organized by the University of Alcalá, and participates with 4 works in the MUWO project, financed by the Ministry of Equality, to give visibility to the unique authorship of women architects in Spanish territory. Also published by Underexpose, zine, number 23, called "Rendijas" (issue sold out)
