DESCRIPTION
Bakhmaro huts ar photographed in february 2023. Bakhmaro is a high plateau in the south of Georgia that is becoming increasingly popular. Wealthy tourists from all over the world have discovered this region for deep snow skiing. New hotels are being built and the Georgian government is considering imposing a temporary construction freeze. However, existing buildings are to be protected. So the Georgians have quickly built dozens of functionless houses in the landscape in the hope of being able to replace them with real houses in the future. As a result, the landscape in this high valley is now characterised by absurd houses.
