Architectural fragments from the Main hall of Polin Museum in Warsaw
POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews is a museum on the site of the former Warsaw Ghetto that contains a permanent narrative exhibition presenting a history of over 1000 years of Polish Jews from the Middle Ages to the Holocaust and the post-war period.
The Main hall, made up of two halves, has undulating walls that take the shape of a gorge, letting in light through the cavernous architecture, light that symbolizes the triumph of life.
The bridge connecting the two halves of the building symbolizes the connection between past and present, the building itself being a symbol that reflected the idea of a "museum of life".
