Conceptual nominee

The presented set of photographs is a visualization of dream images. Dreams, as one of the manifestations of the subconscious content of the psyche, reveal a certain truth that is not visible in waking life. It can be seen if you understand the specific dream language, saturated with complicated symbolism. I am trying to do this using photography, which, thanks to its possibilities, seems to be an ideal medium for this purpose. It reflects the world directly, so it makes it possible to generate real images, although sometimes they fall into the realm of mystification and fiction. In this respect, it is similar to the mechanics of how a dream works - it is usually a specific visual variation built on top of the original, semantic meanings. 
Dreams are an important category of the psyche for me, being a source of self-knowledge and insight into the mysterious, hidden world existing parallel to the visible and known one. Creating a photograph itself is a message to the recipient. In this case, the recipient is also myself.

BIO

Born in 1983 in Wrocław, where she currently lives and works. She is a graduate of the University of Art and Design in Łódź and majoring in Photography and Multimedia at the Faculty of Graphics and Media Art of the E. Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław. In photography, she is interested in both the documentary and creative aspects. She raises topics related to the visible and invisible dimensions of reality, such as corporeality, psyche, consciousness, imagination, and artificial intelligence. Member of the Association of Polish Art Photographers.
