DESCRIPTION
The library at Admont Abbey has been called the eighth wonder of the world in the past. At 70 m long, 14 m wide and around 13 m high, it is the world's largest monastic book room. This hall houses around 70,000 books, while the monastery's entire book collection comprises 200,000 volumes.
