The world of beauty witnessed the diversity of aesthetics. However, in a long period, fashion and beauty were seen through a Eurocentric lens. It was our photographer responsibility to present the aesthetics of other cultures, such as African and Asian cultures, in an appropriate way.
In this beauty photo project, an Africa American model and influencer, initially from Ghana, showed us the aesthetics from Africa.

Frank Zhang is an award-winning photographer, film producer, physicist, and entrepreneur based in New York. He directed, and shot photos and videos for many international brands and magazines, including Tiffany & Co., Fashion Magazine Harper’s Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, L’Officiel, Oreo, NBA Arena, the Korean Times, and more.
His works have been collected and exhibited by many galleries all over the world and won more than 50 international photography awards, including International Photography Awards (IPA), The Prix de la Photographie, Paris Award (PX3), Fine Art Photography Awards (FAPA), Tokyo International Foto Awards (TIFA), Siena Awards, and more.
He obtained his Ph.D. in Physics. Currently, he is dedicated to commercial photography, optics, and cryptocurrency technology. Before that, he worked as a scientist for University of Massachusetts Amherst and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Maryland on nano optics. He has achieved course certificates about fashion design and styling from Parsons School of Design and Condé Nast College of Fashion and Design (London).
