This photo is my personal interpretation of Giorgio De Chirico's masterpiece, "The Song of Love.”
My goal was to capture the scene with my own perspective, not just replicate it. Choosing a more organic approach, I avoided comping elements in post-production.
The integration of 3D printing technology was crucial in bringing this vision to life, and many elements within the composition, including the hand-decorated head of the Apollo Belvedere statue, were personally crafted.
This photo pays homage to the original masterpiece, blending traditional art richness with contemporary techniques.

AUTHOR
I was born in Italy to a family of photographers, but even with such predominant influences, only in the last years I’ve only adopted photography as a visual art.
I started my career as an illustrator using traditional painting methods. It was a time of hyperrealistic illustrations, which was the perfect way to learn and appreciate the intricate attention to detail that was prevalent in that form.
Realistic decorations (tromp d’oeil) and paintings were the next, relatively easy step, to make my work bigger and bolder, before ultimately moving on to digital and exploring modern technology.
I currently live in London, a city that has proved to be the canvas for my latest works.
