THE LORD'S SUPPER
This project was an order given to me by the tourist office of my region in Corsica.
The subject was to represent the Last Supper in its entirety with a touch of modernism and therefore very current to highlight local gastronomy in a cosmopolitan sharing with all religious communities.
Why the Last Supper?
Because in Corsica, Christianity is part of everyday life for many islanders.
Many religious festivals are organized all year round and in particular during the month of April for Holy Week.
Strong and deeply rooted in the island culture, this Holy Week is for many the major annual event.
In this photographic work, I was inspired by the Last Supper by David La Chapelle while respecting a more traditional choice of frame and a more pictorial rendering to come a little closer to the original created by Leonardo da Vinci from 1495 to 1498.
