I once saw a picture online where piles of garbage were arranged in such a way that when lit from a certain direction, they formed an illusion that we could understand. I became fixated on the idea and always wanted to create something similar.
One day, I decided to take photos using pencils. I didn't have a clear plan yet, but I was inspired to start. I bought thirty pencils from the market and sharpened them all, hoping to create something interesting. Unfortunately, nothing happened - it was a disaster.
As I was packing up for the day, I noticed a lot of pencil dust lying around and felt that I shouldn't throw it away. The next day, I removed all the sharpened dust and just stared at it, trying to figure out what could be done with it. Instead of personifying it as something else, I thought about creating something related to sharpeners. I did some research and learned about the inventor of the sharpener, Thierry des Estivaux. I had no idea who he was, as sharpeners seemed like such an unnecessary thing to think about.
