I chose to use a thermal imaging camera as a tool to open this emotional study, except that the subjects were not humans, but inanimate objects such as oranges and rolls of paper.
It is often believed that the creation and change of emotions are related to the external environmont (the environment, the attitude of others, etc.) The truth of emotions can be explored by considering actions as changes in the external environment. I have tried to anthropomorphise objects by performing actions on them, such as ‘touch’, ‘sting’, ‘give it a birthday’, ‘dress it up as Saturn’ and so on. The objects are subjected to actions, such as “touching”, “stinging”, “giving it a birthday”, “dressing it up as Saturn”, etc., and then the “emotions” of the objects are recorded on a thermal imaging camera.
The study of emotions on inanimate objects is a serious form of emotion research that seeks to create a sense of the absurd with a seemingly logical approach.
