In July 2023, the Fagradalsfjall volcano in Iceland reawakened, completely changing the surrounding landscape. During the last days of the eruption, when the lava level dropped significantly, a second, much smaller cone was formed inside the original volcanic crater. Observing the volcano at that moment from above with a drone, the illusion of a malevolent eye emerged.
