This series is about something you don't see everyday.
In my photography career i did photos in some of the best night skies in the world, but i wanted to challenge myself and see if i can do them in even far remote places, like the himalayan mountains.
These photos in particular, where taken on Mt Everest region, where i saw the most incredible milky ways i could ever imagined because of the clearness of the night sky, and i shoot in some of the most difficult conditions of my life (-25 degrees celsius, above 5300 meters).
I even asked a permit from Nepal to sleep at Everet Base Camp, wich was an experience of a lifetime.
The thing i want you to notice about these photos, is that there where no trace of light pollution on the horizons: the brightness you see is only Airglow, a phenomenon similar to northern lights but you can see it only at the most clear skies in the world, and it stands on world's atmosphere.
Hope you can take your time to look at the wonders that that night sky can offers, because it's an experience you will never forget.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
Hello everyone! I am Federico, I am from Rome, and I am a landscape photographer. the search for contact with nature, with the landscape that i'm living, is crucial to me: the landscape photographer has a strong intimate contact with the landscape that faces; he loves him and hates him at the same time, respects him and knows that in the end he will give him the result he is looking for. This is what I try to comunicate: the connection with what we are photographing and making it before we even take the camera in hand. Because at the bottom of each person, in the end, there is a landscape.
