The key theme of my poetics is abstraction. I tried to analyze this topic from different points of view. A group of images proposes the created abstraction (obtained through different techniques, such as lightpainting, physiogram, plays of light, multiple exposures...), while another group of images, as in this case, the abstraction is more focused on the concept behind the actual image. For this purpose I created astrophotography images. When we see astronomical images we are faced with abstractions. In these cases, in fact, we believe in the existence of something that we cannot actually see with our eyes.
Until 1916 we didn't even know what a black hole was and for a century later, until 2019, we were unable to obtain a photographic image of it. Until the NASA "Event Horizon Telescope" captured an image of the black hole, its existence could not be concretely declared with visual proof, even if science managed to demonstrate the authenticity of the theory.
