The Hands That Built History (Series)
DESCRIPTION
Through the visual elements of a pagoda standing alone on the sea, this work attempts to capture valuable values that do not disappear after hundreds of years. This pagoda harmonizes with the sea and exists as one with nature, and inside it lies a long history built by human hands. This work selects the pagoda from among the many heritages of Korea, emphasizing its beauty and highlighting its value. This pagoda, which has been guarded for centuries, captures our precious history and the wisdom and hard work of our ancestors are embedded in it. This work aims to connect our past and present by capturing the moment when modern and traditional meet through digital art work. Occupying a special place on the sea, this pagoda is a precious symbol that we can be proud of and preserves our culture and history together.
AUTHOR
I explore the relationship between the environment and human existence, examining the gap between natural elements and man-made structures. By combining subjects from different times or spaces, I overcome the limitations of single photographs and demonstrates the artistic potential of photography. My first project, In the Beginning (2021), won the bronze award in the architecture category at the 2023 Fine Art Photography Awards (FAPA), and I received an Honorable Mention in the Professional category at the 2023 International Photography Awards (IPA). Since 2019, I have participated in various exhibitions and art fairs organized by Gil Fineart.
