Open Theme nominee

Empty spaces, no human beings, light in the darkness of the night, silence. These pictures are autobiographical, they speak of my existential loneliness. When the loneliness inside me screams, I go out at night and take pictures. In this way I can live with my existential condition. I use the photography as therapy.

I live and work in Milan.
My aim is to create my personal story that expresses emotions that can be shared through images that some critics have defined as "metaphysical, existential".
To achieve my goal, I have sometimes used contexts that I define as "containers" (as in the case of "(The fish market) Il mercato del pesce or "Il mare racconta: la mattanza (The sea tells: la mattanza)", not to document them but to create "metaphysical, existential" photos.
In my pictures the human presence is absent or rarely present.
