Father (Series)
DESCRIPTION
In a world where art has long celebrated maternal connections, the paternal bond has been glaringly underrepresented. The realization of this significant gap in both historical and contemporary art serves as the catalyst for 'Father.' We exist in an age where gender roles have evolved, where men shoulder the caregiving responsibilities just as much as women. Yet, our artistic landscape has failed to catch up, leaving a hollow space that needs filling. The concept for 'Father' came to me as a holistic vision, as if I had been granted admission into a secret chamber of artistic ideas that those before me hadn't been given the opportunity, or perhaps the social freedom, to explore. With this project, I feel as if I am part of a lineage, creating what couldn't be created before. It's a privilege and a responsibility I hold dear. 'Father' is more than an artistic endeavor; it is a mission to rewrite history and reshape contemporary conversations
