As explained by Aristotelian philosophy, the adjective accidental doesn’t detract nothing from the essence of the subject, on the contrary, it provides it with further meanings that give it exclusivity and movement: the subject is no longer static, but in flux.
The meaning of accidental is equally linked to randomness, going back to Aristotle we discover that being accidental is unnecessary but possible, a mutation of the essence that happens fortuitously.
In Bello's shots a real mutation is not evident but the impulse is perceived. Those spots of color, that emerge from the calcareous stone with unusual colors is the clear interpretation of a transition that can happen.

Suspended between artistic and naturalistic photography, this project carries within itself both the power to evoke and the energy to transmit, almost poised between simulacrum and reality.
