Portrait nominee

The loner is a man who has lost his way, he spends his time wondering the countryside either on foot or in his old Lotus. Is he the man who has lost his job but cant tell his wife but leaves the house each morning as if he is going to work?

Simon, who is a professional model and has been the face of a major luxury brand for over ten years and I were asked to do a test shoot over several days and locations for a brand exploring locations and themes combining portraiture in conventional terms and also in the enviroment where the 'fashion' was not the focal point of the images.

I have been a professional photographer for 40 years covering a wide range of subjects for some of the worlds most respected titles and corp brands. I have produced 15 books and have two more this year. one on the Goodwood estate and the second called macchina a look at the world of motor sport and the passion for speed, covering the 'road trip' of classic Americana to the pit lanes of Formula one. it could be seen a s atip of the hat to the petrol engine as the world looks to go electric.

I started covering sports in the 1980's and now would consider myself more of a documentary photographer. I tend to work on long term personal projects that result in books or exhibitions.
