Most of us have to go through a journey of self-acceptance during our lives. Nela, who is in the photos, felt ugly because her classmates and friends teased her for being different. Her loving mother took her to the photo shoot to show her that she was beautiful. Nela has accepted her difference as unique and can now smile at memories on uncomfortable situations. She talks about her experiences without bitterness and accepts them as life experiences. I encountered similar stories very often during my photography profession. Most of us have to go on a journey of self-acceptance of our inner and outer selves during our lives.

The beautiful thing about photography is that it doesn't just tell a story depicted by the photographer, but captures real people who carry their own message in their expression and personality. This will forever set us apart from machine-made images.

She collaborates with international magazines and her photographs appear on the covers of books and magazines.
