Lifeguard (Single)
DESCRIPTION
Whilst walking the dog on the beach I noticed this circle in the mist. When I got closer I realised it was lifeguards keeping a close watch over people in the sea. I quickly changed to a wide angle lens to get the full circle in hoping the lifeguards stayed in that position but they where far too busy concentrating on the four figures in the sea. A few moments later they got in their truck and left.
AUTHOR
My name is Paul Carruthers I am a professional Landscape\Fine Art photographer based in Devon.
I picked up a camera about 25 years ago after a serious injury.
I used my images to improve my graphic design but soon realised people where talking about my photos held within my designs. So I decided to concentrate solely on my photography, reading and learning as much as I could.
I was approached by a Gallery in The Bluecoat Chambers in Liverpool about fifteen years ago to sell my work and the rest as they say is history.
I won The British Life Photography Awards 2017 and I have been shortlisted for The British photography Awards for the last two years. I have also had many other shortlisted and honourable mentions. Most Notably for the Monochrome Awards for the last two years.
