The series was taken in Ecuador on the Pacific coast. During the July many Humpback whales come here. Humpback whales typically give birth between June and August, and the shallow coastal waters offer an ideal location to protect and care for their young, as they are less vulnerable to predators here.

Martin Koeppert is a photographer, explorer and adventurer who has traveled to 98 countries and all continents. His expeditions are planned and carried out individually and according to travel plans created by him. His expeditions take him to the most remote but also well-known places when it is interesting and exciting there. Martin Köppert's photographic works are characterized by their impressive diversity. His pictures have already been honored and awarded in several international and national competitions.
