This is an artistic project I initiated at the age of twenty-one, using film photography, video, and printing to document and showcase a year of my life. The project started on my birthday, inspired by reflections on my hazy memories of the past—unclear like underexposed film.
In this project, I captured the moment of life or feeling every hour using a film snapshot, and I put all of the photos together, one on top of the other, to get this piece. Through this method, my memories were physically and enduringly imprinted onto the world. This is not just a documentation but an exploration and challenge of the perception of time's passage, attempting to capture those fleeting moments and fix them in tangible form.
"Interruption" aims to explore the reliability of memory and the documentary role of art, challenging the viewer's traditional perceptions of time and memory. Each film snapshot is not just a marker of time but a profound capture of the emotions and environment of that moment, allowing viewers to feel the flow of time and the concreteness of personal memories through these static images.
