Abstract nominee

I enjoy seeking the edge of what is visible yet still understandable to the eye. In the vein of impressionistic painters, I am intrigued by the emotional connection of color and light. However in a traditional journalistic sense, my more abstract photos are not manipulated outside of the camera.
Nor are the photos staged. Naturally discovered, they are products of selective focus (or lack thereof), cracked lenses, extreme exposures or serendipity.

My greatest photographic accomplishment to date is obtaining a degree in photojournalism that I never put to use- a professionally trained unprofessional. It suits me just fine.
