Francois Detaille takes us on his journey to Western Australia chasing nature abstracts over the oldest, flattest, and driest continent on earth.
From the multi-colour salt lakes of Perth Wheatbelt region to the red sand of World Heritage Shark Bay and the salt farms and mesmerising landscapes of the Pilbara and the Kimberley regions, the art forms produced there by Mother Nature often surpass our imagination. This abstract journey also makes us realise how much nature can create the most incredible art overtime, without any human touch, which is a real treat for the soul and another testimony to its priceless beauty.
Such picturesque landscapes truly captivate one's imagination and demonstrate boundless creativity.
A tribute to Mother Nature that we, more than ever, need to protect and cherish across the globe for generations to come.

AUTHOR
I am a French & Australian fine-art aerial photographer living in Brisbane with my wife and 2 kids. I've been living in Australia for over 10 years now and every day am still in awe by the beauty of the Australian nature and its fascinating and breath-taking landscapes that I love sharing via my photography. In 2021, the Detaille Art Studio was launched selling prints in Australia and worldwide via its online gallery. In 2023, I held his first 2 exhibitions here in Brisbane:
“Down To Earth”: a testimony to the amazing Australian coastline, its stunning abstracts and abundant marine life. The exhibition was a success with all the large metal and fine-art framed prints sold out.
“My Future Is In Your Hands”: a Koala photographic exhibition involving local photographers held at Brisbane City Hall with government, industry and community representatives. All sales financed a Koala kindy at the Queensland Koala Society.
In 2024, I travelled across Western Australian, in quest of the most breathtaking natural landscapes on the continent. The result is an extensive collection of abstract photographs demonstrating Mother Nature's boundless creativity and imagination. The photographs submitted here are part of this new portfolio.
