Zeno (Series)
DESCRIPTION
“Zeno” is a project that investigates, combining conceptual and aesthetic research, the inner world of contemporary man, proposing a timeless vision, suspended between dissociated drama and theatrical expressiveness.
The world is constantly pressing; we are acrobats of life, balanced on dizziness of dreams and nightmares. The curtain has opened and no one has warned us and we must play our role by improvising.
But the show only works if the rhythm slows down and if we respect the pauses; in those moments in which nothing seems to happen and everything happens, we can dream and reflect on ourselves, on our destinies. It is a suspension that immerses us in the hidden place where everything is created, where the characters that animate the inner world come to life and place themselves in the theater of our existences.
In a timeless perspective, “Zeno” shows how it is possible to deeply know the conscience, if we have the courage to free ourselves from what does not belong to us. Behind the mask, each of us is Zeno.
The project, which started in May and ended in September 2024, is composed of several images: polaroid, digital collage and postcard made using emulsion lift.
AUTHOR
Antonio Rosato was born in Salento in 1984 and lives in Città di Castello (PG, Italy). Passionate and scholar of analog photography, he expresses his creativity by materializing in images and material works, suggestions and personal thoughts that explore both natural and anthropic reality and inner emotion. His artistic research uses various mediums like Polaroid and 35 mm film.
