Born 12 th May 1986 , Kochi, Kerala. Ravisankar has completed his Masters in
Hospitality and Tourism in 2009 and was working in the industry for four years. The
interest in cinema really took over, and he wanted to really find out whether he could
do something as practice in Filmmaking. In 2014, after leaving the job, joined a six
months editing certificate course, where he made his first documentary Shaktheyam
(2014). He has, ever since continously tried to hold on to the practice of making
films as it immerses him in a neccessity to engage with the unpredictable, - where
one of his work - “Unmathavath” won Cinema Experimenta Award at Signs Festival
2017. He has also completed his Post Graduate Diploma in Film Direction and
screenplay writing from Film and Television Institute of India, Pune in 2020. I am an amatuer photographer interested in celluloid medium in photography.
