Feeding the Birds (Single)
DESCRIPTION
Portrait of a Chinese girl in the style of the old masters. The fabric of her dress can be seen in the background. The birds appear to fly from the branches of the tree depicted on the vase.
AUTHOR
The inspiration for my portraits comes from the Baroque painting combined with contemporary aspects. I especially like the scarce lighting that was so beautifully used by the painters from the Golden Age, such as Rembrandt and Vermeer. With my photos I want to tell a special story that tells about a unity or similarity between child and animal. This creates an almost surreal Baroque atmosphere.
