DESCRIPTION
AMBIT WITH LINES AND SQUARES:
This is a digital photo collage. An abstract figure in an abstract space, that tells an abstract story. The figure is seen through various geometric-related inverted shapes. The color palette is restricted until the final image-- bottom right-- when minimal color accents the figure as it seems to vaporize, drift apart, and come forward through the squares.
Photos were not staged of planned. Subject matter was found at various times and locations-- in this case, the figure and background were created by combining several whole photos. Inverted geometric shapes were added.
My focus is exploration and my goal is to create images I have not seen before.
There is always the surprise of discovery, the search for something unique and the irony of making photos that may not eventually resemble photographs.
