The image was captured during a trainera regatta, a type of traditional boat from northern Spain, particularly popular along the coasts of the Basque Country and Cantabria. Originally used for fishing, it now features in sporting competitions that, until recently, were an exclusively male sport. The photograph was taken from the Salve Bridge, over the Bilbao Estuary, seeking the precise moment when the oars were perfectly parallel. The black-and-white fine art treatment adds strength and drama to the scene, while the symmetry of the oars creates a sense of harmony and balance. It is the synthesis of strength and beauty

Bachelor’s Degree in ICTs and Advertising from the UPV-EHU, University of the Basque Country. My life has always been linked to photography in one way or another. For me, photography is, above all, a way of escaping from a meretricious creativity, and a way of communicating what I truly feel. A way of leaving aside the advertising objectives and urgent demands to go out and look at the world differently, to discover beauty, those things that really move me and shake me up.
Something allowing me to develop a very personal vision.
