"Freedom" – an ironic and satirical interpretation of the modern concept of freedom.
The photograph depicts a woman sitting behind a desk, staring intently at the screen of an old television, which appears to be the central focus of her world. All other objects – plants, old televisions, and decorations – are placed on the floor, emphasizing the hierarchy of values and highlighting what is considered "most important."
The light streaming through the window symbolizes the existence of the "real world" – a space full of possibilities and authenticity. However, it is deliberately ignored, obscured by blinds that restrict access to reality and underline the confinement within imposed boundaries.
The interior design, inspired by the retro aesthetics of the 1970s, adds a nostalgic touch to the work, prompting reflection on the influence of the past on our contemporary choices and the illusion of freedom offered by media and technology.
The artwork raises questions: What is true freedom? Do we choose what defines us, or are we trapped within imposed roles and patterns?
