The Gobi Desert stretches across parts of Mongolia and China and is one of the largest and most impressive desert regions in the world. Unlike classic sand deserts, the Gobi is a cold desert, characterized by vast gravel plains, rocky hills, and sparse vegetation. Its extreme temperature fluctuations between hot summers and freezing winters make it one of the most inhospitable yet fascinating landscapes on Earth. Despite these harsh conditions, the Gobi is home to an astonishing variety of wildlife, including wild camels, snow leopards, and wolves.

His expeditions are planned and carried out individually and according to travel plans created by him. His expeditions take him to the most remote but also well-known places when it is interesting and exciting there. Martin Köppert's photographic works are characterized by their impressive diversity.
