Iceland had been on my bucket list for years, and last fall, I finally made the trip with a friend. Among the many iconic locations I wanted to photograph, Skógafoss was a must. I had high hopes of capturing it under the northern lights, but each night, the sky remained stubbornly cloudy.
However, Iceland gifted me something incredible five consecutive nights of breathtaking auroras. While Skógafoss never revealed a clear night sky, I didn’t give up. One early morning, I woke before dawn to capture the waterfall at blue hour, placing my friend in the frame for scale. Later, I blended this shot with one of the incredible aurora displays I had witnessed during my stay.
This image is more than just a photograph, it’s a vision I had dreamt of for years, finally brought to life through patience, persistence, and a little creative touch.

Based in Lausanne, I am a Swiss landscape photographer whose journey began at age 15. Growing up in a globe-trotting family, my love for exploration runs deep alongside my passion for photography.
While my professional career lies in marketing, I devote my free time to capturing landscapes. I’m captivated by the allure of long exposures, dramatic weather, and the gentle hues of sunrise and sunset. My aim is to transport viewers to these remote locales through my images, allowing them to dream of places they may never physically reach.
