Dark Matter (Series)
DESCRIPTION
How often do we walk by, overlooking that which may be revealed by dappled, filtered or indirect light? Dark matter is said to make up 90% of the physical universe, yet remains invisible. It serves as an interesting metaphor for me, helping me create images that celebrate small scenes in nature that may otherwise be passed by, stepped over or simply go unnoticed because the big vista is more obvious and brightly lit. Rendering this work in black and white with some dodging and burning at the post-processing stage reveals striking patterns, textures or contrasts.
