Nature nominee

Frozen Waters is a small collection of images where light plays a big factor but even more importantly location. The frozen leaves pair are a couple of my absolute personal favorites due to the nature of the location. The small 2ft wide 1.5ft puddle was in the middle of a neighbor's drive. I couldn't resist as the sun broke the horizon and the soft light slowly creeped onto the puddle but to try and exploit the details in the ice. The pair containing the soft painterly morning hues was a happy accident. Scouting an old location with a friend, I noticed the a small patch of ice reflecting the subtle morning hues and noticed the abstract patterns which immediately drew me in. The final image bw image was a happy surprise. Upon coming up to a small half frozen half snow covered section, the little island immediately jumped out at me. It instantly reminded me of Yin and Yang and knew instantly this would be a brilliant bw image.

Jude is an amateur photographer practicing his craft during his minimal spare time. He's a nurse during the day and father/husband full time. Jude has been diving deep in his passion for landscape photography for about 5 years honing his skills and finding out his passion lies deep within the intimate scenes of the landscape. Just like any photographer gear has been a constant attribute to his photography starting out with a simple DSLR and now photographing scenes with his FujiFilm medium format camera. Throughout his short years of his career, Jude has had opportunities to show at local galleries and have sold pieces to clients ranging from consumer home level to corporate level including companies such as Capital One and Dominion Energy. Jude has also been published in Landscape Photography Magazine in 2022 and Amateur Photographer magazine, "Special Travel Issue" in 2022.
