Under Water II
Year after year, the water lily pond is in full bloom in the main act of its performance. The script for this miracle ist written by the law of nature. Everything runs according to plan.

Nevertheless, there is room for unpredictable chaos. A look beneath the surface of the water reveals bizarre, unknown worlds to the viewer. The still imperfect presents itself in its own beauty. It is like a prelude in which it is still to be decided who will take part in the main act and who would rather stay underwater.

I have been visiting my water lily pond almost every day since March 2024 and have tried to capture this hidden development from chaos to order in pictures.

Steffi Pianka, born 1958 and living in Berlin since 1984, has launched exciting photo projects over the last 25 years as part of her works as press officer and concept developer. In 2020, she changed her perspective.

"I now want to realize my ideas myself. Today, I focus on working with my cell phone. Initially, it was still an experiment for me working without my professional camera. Today, I´m convinced that I´ve chosen the right path.

My focus is on things that you can only see if you look closely. A wonderful new experience in times of acceleration.
