These are some of the images I have captured during the past couple of years. What always intrigues me is that these deep space objects cover a huge area of our sky. Four of the images in this series were captured with a 130mm telescope with a focal length of 650mm and the objects filled the entire sensor of my Canon Ra camera.
The 2024 solar eclipse was captured with a 106mm telescope with a focal length of 530mm and a composite was made showing the phases.
There's a lot of dust out there in space and I think you will appreciate just how much dust there is by viewing my images. We are made from stardust, and I am glad I recorded it in my photos.
Thank you for viewing my images

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
I'm an amateur photographer specializing in the night sky. I have received some awards for my photography and have been featured in magazines and my work has also appeared in astronomy books. My photography was placed on hold for many years due to my career. However, at the end of 2017, I resumed my imaging of the night sky and I'm trying to make up for lost time. It takes a lot of time and effort to take the photos and then to take this data and post process it. But it's a labor of love.
