Night nominee

Vik Beach, from where this photo was taken, is located near Haukland on Lofoten in northern Norway. The Veggen and Mannen mountains seen here across the Haukland Bay form a barrier to another popular beach, Uttakleiv. That evening the northern lights were very bright, which allowed for a relatively short exposure time. Even the waves slowly rolling up the flat beach appeared reasonably sharp near their turning point.
