'From The Depths'

My on-going creative project. Currently, it involves two underwater series created to celebrate the beauty of our oceans and the duality of women- in both strength and vulnerability.

Series I: Re-tells a version of the greek myth 'Pandora's Box.' Visually, I've told the story in three parts:
'The Gift', 'The Curse' and 'Hope.' (full story explanation can be read on my Instagram)

Series II: 'Las Sirenas.' Imagine a world where mermaids do exist, where softness can be found and the force of nature leaves a memory, glowing in your mind.

Both concepts I created in the warm waters of The Indian Ocean, out from Indonesia.

My work draws inspiration from the essence of life, above and below the surface, with a focus on women’s connection to the natural world. Water is at the centre of my art. It is the element we all originated from and lives inside each of us. I capture the beauty of the human form while highlighting the need for sustainable ways of living.

Known for my atmospheric style and simple editing using only natural light I bring my concepts and storylines to life through still images.

Originally from the UK, I moved to Byron Bay, Australia in 202. Inspired by the sharks and dolphins found in the waters on my doorstep, I began telling stories visually through free-diving and surfing. My passion for exploring our planet and understanding different cultures further, has led me to creating photos across The Philippines, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Australia. My next series will take me across to the other side of the world, in search of new underwater seascapes to shoot the rest of my 'From The Depths' fine art photo series which will be a 12 month project.
