Surfing the Rookery (Single)
DESCRIPTION
White egret at a rookery in bloom. Not only was the bird in beautiful breeding colors/feathers, the flowers added such an elegant backdrop. As I played with the backdrop, I found creating the floral wave brought the egret to life.
AUTHOR
Jackie Schletter is a nature photographer that enjoys exploring the essence of her subjects, often birds, in her creative style of artful photography and post processing. Born in 1967 in Chicago, Illinois, a keen interest in photography was fostered from a young age. She focused on art based studies in high school and college before shifting into a science based program that nurtured her love of nature.
In 2021, after almost 20 years in veterinary medicine, she once again began pursuing her love of the photographic arts as a means to create nature based art. Ms. Schletter currently resides in the coastal area of South Carolina known as the Lowcountry with her husband and spoiled rotten Shih Tzu. Her award winning photographs are exhibited in the US and abroad.
