Whether on stage or in studio, musicians perform. They live to pursue their passion, music. This gives them an aura that is unique. They are obedient servants to their calling with the struggle to perfect their craft always inside of them. This makes the photograph exciting.
I have been photographing musicians in the greater Austin, Texas area for several years. Their love for their craft, on stage or in studio, is palpable. I find them to be more than entertaining. They are inspirational. They chose the road less travelled knowing full well they may never reach the destination they desire. But everyday, they wake up and put forth the efforts to take that next step. They do not give up.
