Seascape 3rd place winner

This photograph, taken on the Isle of Eigg in Scotland, captures a fascinating interplay between light, texture, and the raw beauty of this isolated nature. The shifting winds, fleeting light, and the rhythmic motion of the sea shaped the scene moment by moment. I patiently waited for the perfect harmony to emerge, as the menacing sky and the textures in the foreground lit up under a fleeting ray of light. I spent hours contemplating this unique and dramatic landscape, feeling as though I was losing myself in the power of this untamed nature. A lost sea, caught between beach and mountain.

Originally from Belgium and self-taught, I began landscape photography in 2010 after completing my studies in sound engineering. My love for nature grew through my explorations. Based in Avignon, France, I capture authentic scenes, from forests to the mountains of the Alps and the Highlands of Scotland.

The pursuit of unique light and captivating compositions drives my work. In 2022, I was honored to receive a special award at the prestigious "The International Landscape Photographer of The Year", followed in 2023 by the Classic View Award at the "UK Landscape Photographer of the Year". These distinctions mark a significant milestone in my artistic journey, strengthening my determination to explore new horizons and share my unique vision of nature.
