On a fog-laden morning in Vík, Iceland, just before our departure, we stood on the black sand beach near our hotel, hoping for a glimpse of the Reynisdrangar sea stacks. The dense mist veiled the horizon, shrouding the landscape in mystery.
Patience rewarded us. Slowly, the silhouettes of the jagged formations emerged from the haze, their presence accentuated by the relentless crash of waves in the foreground. The interplay of the dark sky tinged with the first light of morning, the distant rock formations, and the churning sea created an atmosphere of raw, untamed beauty.
In post-processing, I refined color and contrast, and subtly tempered the ocean spray to enhance the composition's balance.
