Deliberation is a form of practice that allows humans to live in this world with a degree of autonomy. Whether consciously or unconsciously, we are always thinking about something as naturally as we breathe. These thoughts vary and evolve depending on each individual's life circumstances and burdens. Among them, the search for the meaning and principles of life is a crucial topic, just as important as the basic need to survive.
In my photography project "Deliberation," I aimed to capture moments when modern people, despite their busy lives, think and act with intention in pursuit of a meaningful and self-directed life. This requires a highly perceptive and immediate response because both they and I understand all too well that "life is not staged." In the end, my own deliberations are also captured within the images of their moments.
