Travel nominee

The thing that impressed me most about Mexican culture on my first trip there was the taste and need for colour. I felt this throughout the country the more I travelled and discovered it. Every ordinary scene is full of beautiful colours. Yet, being everyday objects, their beauty is overlooked and taken for granted. With my project, I want to present ordinary scenarios as places that are aesthetically worthy of admiration and part of a cultural heritage.

As a photography enthusiast, I have been taking pictures since I was a teenager. I see photography as an artistic medium in its own right, as well as a means of enjoying and preserving the beauty that surrounds us. This applies to many areas, but I consider natural heritage to be one of the most important. I am also very interested in the different cultures and human-made structures that contribute to the cultural heritage.
With time, I feel I am now ready to step into amateur photography and willing to become a professional.
